Did I mention that this is a WOW app? This thing is awesome! I mean it is perfect. You couldnt ask for a better version of this. I dont generally like rating stuff , had too for this one. Alexander Scourbey.

This is the best KJV audio bible I ever used. Im only rating it four stars because the last update was in 2015. Why isnt it being updated with new features and improvements?

Best read Bible app with reading plan

While there are currently many good Bible apps available, I have found that this one is the best and worth 10 times more. Alexander Scourbys voice inflections create such a powerful reading of the word and makes you want to listen to and hear more of it. I discovered this mans voice, Alexander Scourby from a bible study session online few weeks ago from Gregory Miller (YouTube him, an amazing bible teacher by the way) and practically lost my mind by his captivating voice!!. You wouldve honestly thought this what Gods voice must sound like, but just louder lol. Thank God he was the one that narrated this infallible book 1611 King James Bible. The way he effortlessly reads the scriptures without error is inexplicable to my understanding. Purely fascinating! More interestingly enough, he even gives beautiful images in your head as if your seeing all Gods work happen right before your very eyes. Your literally a kid all over again being read an interesting book with such enthusiasm by your teacher in elementary school or your parents. You get so drawn in that you cant help but wanting to hear more. Your being read the most powerful book of all time to you with grace & ease. More importantly, he helps you to understand the Bible much clearer as well through the manner & the unique touches in his voice that so very few can emulate. Thats very important when reading such a difficult book as the Bible, especially for beginners. So Its really fun to hear and enjoy. Highly recommendable! An Infamous voice for an infamous book, what a beautiful combination. Lastly, listening to Gods words is vital to your life, especially to your spiritual life which is the true disaster in this world today. Look around and see the leery lost people in this world, they literally spiritually starving and even know it because of twisted corrupt world we live in! Without the word of God in your life their is absolutely no hope for you at all. You dont believe me? Read the book and youll see. So repent & save yourself please so I can see you in heaven & be raptured before the tribulation. Godwilling! This Bible app team.... Works great on my iPhone 6s. No flaws here. I was concerned if the $20 was worth it after reading some bad reviews, but well worth the price.

This is an amazing app it is what i had always thought could be done with this mans voice. I have him on vinyl records, casette tapes, mp3, and now on my iphone5. Koodos for this.

I grew up listening to Mr. Scourby narrate the Bible and as a big audiobook listener to begin with, I was very excited to find out there is now an app for his reading of the KJV. The concept behind the app is great; unlike most audiobooks, which are designed for a straight-through listen and don’t function well for a book like the Bible where people like to select different books, chapters and verses to listen to, the app is broken down in a very browsable book/chapter/verse format. The biggest problem though - and this is a deal breaker for me - is because the recording is so old, there is quite a bit of static and the recording doesn’t transition smoothly from verse to verse. After each verse, there is a noticeable “clipping” sound where the verses have been separated into separate sound bites, in order to get the browsability required for the Bible format. If you are listening to more than a verse, the sound is extremely annoying. I love Scourby’s narration, but I couldn’t handle to editing problems, especially for $20. I sadly had to return this app.

Wow! What a huge update! This has many wonderful features which will probably take me a while to get to use it to my full advantage. I especially like the loop feature which I can now use for my personal study and memorization. -Psalm 119:11 Amen!

Are these guys for real? They want 20 bucks for the app and another 20 for the iPad app which is virtually the same. The Scourby narration is the only thing this app has going for it but you have to watch it real bad for that kind of money. " MONEY CHANGERS" is what God calls them.

Great App but please update it...:) for now I cant open it. Dont know why. But still its a great app for iPhone...

Update crashes every time I try to open it. Also, in reading the update info I see that the words of Christ are now in red. I do NOT want this feature. Please remove this feature or give me the opportunity to turn it off, and PLEASE PLEASE fix the update or give me the opportunity to reload the old version.

Since the latest update, the app wont. Start. Always crashes after pausing for a few seconds on the splash screen. Im using an iPhone 5S, and I rebooted over and over again. Yet, this app just doesnt work at all.

I really enjoy what youve done with the updates. It brings me great joy to listen to The Word while I am at work, and I have heard no one read it as well as Alexander Scourby. There may be some features that I dont like but instead of complaining about those, I find pleasure in the book Im listening to. You have done a great job.

The last update will not allow the app to start. It may show up for a quick second...but thats all. The list of updated features look great - I just wish I can get to use them.

This update will not even download to my phone! ITunes automatically deleted previous version, and I cant download current version! SERIOUSLY?!?!

I read some reviews that said the sound quality wasnt great. I LOVE the Bible read by Scourby so I decided to try it anyway. I have the Scourby Bible on CD and also had it for years before that on cassette. I wanted the app on my iPhone so i would have it with me at all times, so I figured, how bad can it be? Surely they cant sell it for $20 in the App Store if it is too bad. WRONG. The sound is horrible. It reminds me of poor recordings by cassette recorders from many years ago. If this is really a legitimate Scourby Bible by the people who own the copy write, then why is the sound not good? VERY VERY disappointed! If there was a way to get money back I would.

Initially when I downloaded the App it crashed but support advised me to delete it and re-load and it worked! I really like the words of Jesus in red. Although I must say that I am not a fan of the new icon the old one was fine with me but se la vie - looking forward to the new revisions.
